question about gas
ive heard that if you got a b16 you gotta fill it up with 91 gas, i barely got my car it has a usdm b16 ive filled it up once with 87, and i wanna clarify to make sure i can put 87 and i dont have to put 91.
Check the owners manual and use the octane rating that it says to use.
If you use a lower grade than recommended you could see poor performance and fuel economy. Due to knock timing retard. If you run low octane in a high compression engine you may start to hear a knock. If a knock sensor detects this it will retard timing. Over a prolonged period this is not good for your engine or your fuel economy. It would probably be cheaper just to by 91 in the end.
