Default question about ECU and a chrome p72 chip

I currently have a chrome P72 tuned by john vega out of Tampa Florida.

Anyways.. here we go. Please don't bash it's just a question.

I got a custom 3'' downpipe from my guy in tampa, he also did the piping all the way to the back. Anyways, here is my question. After doing all this the idiot took my o2 sensor out, he then proceeded to throw it away and he didn't drill a hole for the new o2 sensor. With that being said I have no way to monitor whats going on with my air/fuel.

I have an old VAFC laying around that I could install to monitor all that, I wouldn't tune with it, I would just monitor whats going on.

2 questions.

#1. Does the VAFC require an O2 sensor?

#2. Upon installation of the VAFC will it override my tuned ecu settings or just leave them?

Thanks HT!

1) No

2) Don't even think about putting a VAFC to monitor your a/f. Get a wideband.. something like a plx or innovate unit should work just fine.

And 3) Go back and tell your guy to put in an O2 bung since he forgot one the first time around.

Like 93turbo16 says...do no use your VAFC! Get a wideband.
