So I picked up this p28 from my buddy, it runs great in my em1, I popped the top off and see this chip from skunk2. My question is, is this a legit skunk2 chip? I know skunk2 mad chips back in the day. My question is is this a real skunk2 chip or a ebay knockoff? Also if anybody knows what this chips specs are like redline and ish lmk. Sorry for the crappy sell phone pic.

 

I am not sure what the skunk chips looked like. To me that looks like someone printed that on a colour printer and stuck it on to the chip. There are three different skunk2 stickers that I found on other ebay skunk2 chips.

What you need to do is take that chip to someone with a chip burner and ROM editing capabilities. That is the only way to find out exactly what the specs of that chip are. Unless it is a legit chip and someone can post up some specs for a Skunk2 10K EPROM chip. I wasn't able to find any information on it.

 

Yeah man, thats was I was thinking that it was some kind of knock off because, like you said it looks like somebody printed it out themselves. There are no part number or anything printed on it. If ya can't see, it says skunk210K on it.

 

If you lived in Spokane I could upload it to my rom to see what map settings it has. Haha oh well
