chiped computer wont turn on pump
ok so i got my computer chipped by phearable and it was all working well till one day i went and burned a map on the chip and then my fp wouldnt start. thinking it was a problem with the chip i bought new chips.. still wouldnt start, i replace my main relay and it still wont start. so i got a another socketed computer and the chip still wont work. it all works with a normal ecu. is it my tune? or crome? btw its a p28 thanks
Are you putting the chip in the correct orientation? It's a dumb question, but I have to ask.
Second, what chip burner and chip are you using? if you are using a 27sf512 chip, some burners automatically burn to the correct buffer offset when you load a rom, like the moates burn1/2, while others have to be configured to do so manually. If you don't know what that means and are using the 27sf512 eeprom, then you need to check this out.. http://mycomputerninja.com/~jon/www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin/view/Library/Willem.html Specifically, the hex offset needs to be 8000 if you are using the willem.
Are you getting a solid cel?

yes i am using that chip and i am using the burn 2. i have tried the chip in both directions and it makes no difference. ive tried erasing the chip and reburning the tune and still nothing. there is a cel but its bc i have no vtec on this motor.( never checked for other codes) i originally was burning right from crome but switched to flash burn to see if that would fix it and no luck
I see people post this problem with the same solution like 3 times a day.
Can we put this in a wiki? ROMs get corrupted all the time, this should be the first troubleshooting step.
