I just throw a turbo on my 93 Civc D15b7, the turbo kit I bought included, RC440, Chipped P28 pin with a basemap tune for a Y7, FMIC w/ all piping and BOV, Emusa wg 10# spring, turbonetics turbocharger oil feed and return. My question is that Phearable pretty good with basemap tunes if I just send em my current setup? I drove my civic to work today PIG RICH lol about 9 on the AFR gauge. Im not wanting to make stupid amounts of power just have a little boosted civic.

Thanks in advance

They do provide pretty good basemaps. But you need to actually take it somewhere and have it tuned. A basemap isn't the same

thanks cmwright.. I am actually getting a basemap tune from xenocron just so I can easily drive it, because right now it is awful. Then I'll eventually get a Hondata S300.

a basemap is NOT meant to be driven on, it is ONLY meant for getting the engine to start and warm up so you can check for leaks. that's it. and sometimes it gives the tuner a better starting point than from scratch.
no matter where you buy a basemap, it is still a basemap, and it NEEDS to be TUNED IMMEDIATELY, NOT NOT NOT driven on!
