Default turbo edit / engine management

I've heard about turbo edit but it seems to good to be true. One of my friends told me he would socket my p-28 and burn me a base map an street tune it w/me for 100 bucks. His hatch is quik an he did his but is it reliable?

I'm a big fan of hondata myself!

I really wish we had a forced induction forum where questions like this could be answered.

In short, it's reliable as the person who tunes it. I know some people who can street tune very well (funny enough none of them work w/ hondas), but obviously and always, numbers speak best....dyno tune is the most efficient.

Stay w/ crome in a chipped P28, you don't need to go hondata or turbo edit...

Turbo Edit is normally used for OBD0 cars. For obd1 best free programs are crome and uberdata, then theres hondata (which isnt free). But in the end it all depends on how much power you want.

Opps my statement wasnt suppose to be saying hondata is free it was suppose to be:

"crome and uberdata are free then theres hondata" Ill change it so people wont get confused.

S300 goes for around 500 right now.

crome= tunewithcrome.com

uberdata i did a google search for,

you have to socket your ecu, the chip comes in a kit for like 20 bucks i think

hondata=exact same thing imo but that you have to pay for and everything comes in a kit, correct me if im wrong but i belive s300 is plug and play where u dont have to solder in a chip
