The new Neptune Moates hardware has been out for a few days now and Im surprised there aren't any threads about it. Does anyone have it yet? Let the discussion begin...

The Demon is not officially supported by any software besides Neptune RTP.

Neptune RTP will be using the Demon instead of the previous Neptune Board.

eCtune will soon be licensed & sold with the Demon.

Crome is also going to follow suite.

Pricing on Neptune RTP/Demon is $425.
Pricing on eCtune/Demon package is to be announced.

Simple description:
The Demon is the newest in our line of Honda/Acura-friendly P28/P30/P72-compatible technology. Totally bumpless realtime emulation, embedded datalogging, auxiliary ports, 16x calibration storage. In-situ device fits inside both USDM and JDM ECUs. Gives all the power of the Ostrich, Hulog, RTP, and other products into one. Full native compatibility with Crome, Neptune, eCTune, TunerPro, and others.

It is small. Photos of the unit installed are on HRTuning.com. Units have not started shipping yet, but this is definitely going to be a great unit. I'm more impressed with this than I was with the original RTP units.

So this thing will constantly data log? Storing how much?

Aux ports, what will these be used for? ems options like fts, pwm, ect? How many outputs?

So you can flip back a forth between 16 different calibrations? How would this be controlled?

I've heard about this thing, its tiny. I'd really like to have one, along with their engine simulator.

Thanks for your time,
dk

I see that you're an eCtune dealer. Support for options will depend on the software, so you should probably ask those questions on Calvin's forum. This topic is specifically for NepTune.

The demon is definitely one of the most exciting things to come into the honda tuning world in a long time.

It is small, compact and installation is super easy and can be done by pretty much anyone that has a chipped ecu.

I am very very impressed with the units performance so far and can't wait to see the capabilities of the on-board logging.

Does this mean the onboard logging doesnt work yet or does the Neptune software need to be updated to take advantage of it?

The on-board logging is working, it's being finalized for distribution and the software will be updated to support it.

The CN2 cable was not plugged in for the photo. It goes directly to the black 4 pin on the top of the demon there.

I should also mention the presale price will stay until On-Board Logging is finalized within the software. All pre-order customers are being contacted and anyone who wants their unit before then to begin tuning right away will have their units shipped this week and next. Anyone who wants to wait for the full release can do so.

Will there be any other changes/updates to the software on the next release other than the improved logging support?

No improved logging support, that already works great. Just on-board logging as an addition.

I can't make any premature announcements on features to come. The current feature set is more than enough to keep you company, though.

Hey Special K. Ya, I'm all over quite a lot of forums, but that's just how customer service should be.

Go figure he has one!

Honda Bull>John doesn't need to be forced.
