hey guys i have a b16a2 witht the stock 2000 si ecu the car has i/h/e intake mani i want to run hondata s300 on it or i want to get a chipped ecu with a launch limiter wat do u guys recommend i had a po6 i bought that had a skunk2 chip but it messed the car up the motor was bogging down it took off the rev limiter the cars idol was very rough it used to die out a couple times wat kinda ecu do u guys reccomend?i want to keep stock ecu for emmisions testing and im looking for a different kind and if so wat to chip it with thanks alot for the help

 

talk to your tuner. what year's your car? only 96+ needs emission testing in illinois. if you're going s300, it doesn't matter what ecu you use, you won't pass emissions.

 

my cars a 2000 so i was gonna buy another ecu and keep my stock one to plug in for emissions

 

so to answer your question, you could run hondata s300, doesn't matter which ecu you use, if it's p06, just convert it to vtec.
