Looking for some help with basemap
I finally got my car running! Thanks to anyone that gave me some input when i was deciding what parts i should buy, and then again when i ran into trouble trying to get her back together. all i have left to do is get a tune put on it and ill be ready to drive! :D. Problem is the way the car sits right now, it would blow up before it made it anywhere near the tuner, and I don't have an extra $500 for a tow truck on top of the tuning fees. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could give me some information or link me to a basemap that might get my car running a little bit better. basically it runs pretty good (13/14 afr) for the first 20 seconds or so when its in open loop, but after it switches back to closed loop it wants to die and i have to keep giving it gas every couple seconds to keep it alive. i understand that my compression is way lower with the vitaras now so i guess i would have to delay my timing a bit, but i'm not sure how much timing is to much and i have come way to far just to blow this thing up in the driveway messing around with it. i've tried downloading other people's basemap that i found on the internet with similar setups and haven't found any of them to work. if anybody has any helpful input i would really appreciate it.

Re: Looking for some help with basemap
Disable closed loop until you get it tuned. Set your fuel injector size to 775cc/min and enter the dead times on the Fuel Injectors tab in the Parameters window. If it runs at all, I assume you have also already set the MAP sensor to 4-bar in the Parameters window?
I can't help you with a base map - see if your tuner will send you one.
This thread should probably be moved to the Tuning or FI section of the forum.
