Default Kpro engine compatibility

I have Hondata Kpro4 installed in my 04 Civic. I'm curious about if its possible to do a LS V8 swap down the road after I blow this engine.
Mainly I want to ask if anyone knows if the kpro can control 8 injectors and 8 spark plugs? Would it require running waste/split spark and injection?

It cannot run 8 fuel injectors using the Injector Drivers in the stock ECU... there may be a way by using an additional fuel injector driver/controller that would normally be used for staged injectors or slaved injectors. Hondata makes such a device... now whether it would work for a V8 or not... I am not sure.

Wouldn't be worth the effort or money involved, even if it could be done. Just use a universal EMS of your choice.

Guess that 5.3 build is gonna have to go in another chassis. What trans is good to use with K20 rwd swaps? Still not sure if I want to keep it manual and street registered or go powerglide for a RWD 4cyl turbo Civic drag car.

I mean, if you’re going to go to that level of fabrication then trying to stick with a stock ecu is somewhat pointless. Any reason you’re so committed to running kPro that it dictates your engine choice?

Money, i guess. I already have the Kpro installed and street tuned. I've been building my car to be somewhat engine agnostic.
What 4 cylinder turbo engine would you go with for some good affordable power. 4G63T? 2.3L Ecoboost? SR20?

Well if you want an "engine agnostic" ecu, then anything that's not a modified stock ecu is a better option. The good news, people seem to buy/sell used K-Pro/S300/etc setups for just about what they paid for them brand new so you wouldn't lose much. Why isn't a K-series engine on your list?
