Ignition Compensation on E85
I was looking at my ignition compensation tables and I think I see why my car feels like a turd when it gets really hot. For example sometimes cruising around town my IAT will get up in the 140's, and my ECT will get up to 200-205. At this point the stock ignition tables are retarding my timing like 5° when combined. I understand this is for detonation safety on gasoline.
Question is with E85 can I reduce the amount of ignition retard somewhat with these IAT and ECT levels more safely? Car loses a ton of power currently in these conditions. What is everyone else using for these values?

Yeah, I backed down my temperature related timing retard A LOT, and have been driving around on hot days doing pulls with no issue. Drives much better now.
Sweet deal! From what I have been reading up, that seems to be the main reason E85 is a good move. You may use more to get to a comparable power level vs gasoline, but the det risk is nearly nonexistent, removing knock limitations. I'm sure you're well aware of the benefits though lol. I'm compiling my head rebuild and am looking to switch when I complete that.
