d16a swap from 96 si coupe to 98 hatch cx.
Hi there i recently purchased a 96 civic si coupe for the motor to install in my 98 civic cx. While doing this we had to put the original intake manifold on and original 4-1 exhaust manifold as well. A few other changes such as the original oil pan and stuff was needed. All wires are plugged in and we are using the original ECU from the cx. But now the car will not start at all and i can't even hear the fuel pump kick in. Wondering if anyone knows what the problem might be. I really want to get my car back on the road.

Make sure the ground is bolted properly to the thermostat housing?

i will try that. The car won't even turn over. This should fix the problem or do you think there might be another wiring problem as well. The motor i installed was a D16a with vtech the original motor didn't have vtech. Wondering if there was some wiring that i may have missed due to that?

So it's not even cranking like it's trying to start? May have missed something somewhere.. Vtec will not properly work without a vtec ecu, whole other issue though.

No it will not crank over the starter is not getting any juice. The fuel pump is not turning on. The ecu from the other civic si didn't do anything either when we plugged it in.

Make sure all wiring is hooked up properly. Harness hooked up, etc..

Just wondering should i put the ecu from the civic si in there instead of the one from the cx? And i will check the thermostat ground and all wiring once again.
