Default having issues with crome

I chipped my p30 and put it in the car. hooked the laptop up and did the setup and detected a connection so i clicked the realtime toolbar hit write and it could not detect the ecu. so i closed the program out and tired it again but this time the progess loaded and said successfull. so i cycled the key and the cel didn't go off. so i tired it 5-6 more times. then decided it was late and stopped for the night. I m not ready to start the vehicle, it has a fresh ls/vtec but i would to start it wed. night. thanks for any help.

Did you try to burn it to a chip and make sure the ecu is working properly?

I would do that before you get into trying to tune it with an ostrich or log from it. That way you know the ecu is chipped properly.
