Default For the guys that chip ecus

i just chipped my p05 when everything went well i thought till i plugged it in and of course the engine light stays constant pull jumper from J1 and it acts as it should i followed this guys directions http://www.d-series.org/forums/diy-f...-chipping.html is there somthing i missed i re checked all my solders everything looks real clean im just at a loss the only thing i didnt install from the kit was the big blue capacitor

That was for a p28 ecu. For a p05 ecu depending on which board you have 11F0 or 1720 try xenocron's link

installed capacitor and re soldered everything same dam thing anyone run into this i know the guy i used to work for did and he always did somthing and ended up fixing it lol

Post some quality pictures of your soldering.

Are you sure the chip is programmed?

Is it installed the correct way?

thats my next question it said it burnt my question is does anyone know if you dont install a chip at all lets say just leave chip out will the cel act normally? ill get pics up tommorow and i have the indent of the chip pointed out towards the plugs to the left

Idk if this will throw a cel right off the bat or even throw a cel but did you add in for the 4 wire o2
