Default Go with s200 or stick with crome

i bought a ls with a chipped ecu on chrome. Its runnin hella rich right now and pissin me off lol so i was going to buy another basemap from phearable or get a better ecu management

I dont have money right now for a tune and most reputable tuners dont even tune with crome so i was thinking i would get a s100 or s200 instead since a s300 is a little out of my reach at the moment.

i found a s200 unit for 70 bucks, do tuners still use this although it is no longer made even though i know the s100 is and they are relatively the same minus datalogging.

thanks!

Call a reputable tuner that you are going to have tune your car and see what they prefer. They may not use Hondata.

you have to use a romeditor to tune the s200 right?

I wouldn't worry about that stuff if your having someone else tune it!

However if you are going to try it yourself. A ROMeditor is required. An upgrade for data logging may also be required if the S200 was manufactured prior to 12/13/04 and has not already been upgraded. An emulator (Moates Ostrich) or chip burner (Moates Burn 1) is also required.

yeah i have a wideband so i was hoping to get a chance to mess around with it for a bit.

so i need a chip burner and rom editor? are these both physical things?

like i would need everything in this kit? http://www.xenocron.com/dyno-tuning-...fc275977715234

would i still need the hondata program if i got the kit from xenocron?

follow that link it will tell you what you need.

A ROM editor is the software used for tuning. The Emulator is what is used for tuning and it is physically connected to the ECU. It is what the ECU reads the tune from. Once you are finished tuning you can disconnect the Ostrich. Then the chip burner is used to burn the tune onto a chip and place in the ECU/Hondata unit....

If you buy that Xenocron kit you still require RomEditor4 in order to tune the S200

if you have a wideband just download crome and get a flash and burn from moates and adjust the fuel yourself. no need to buy another tuning solution especially for an LS
