fried ecu's at the same spot
OK so I have a 92 Prelude SI that I replaced the H23a1 with a jdm H22a. I used the H23a wiring harness and added the vtec and oil pressure wires. Everything looks good. Doesn't run like it should. Throws a code 13 with two different ecu's. MAP sensor checks out properly.
While checking it out my friend decided to open up the H22a ecu and it was smoking inside. The resistor at Q27 was fried. So being smart we put it back in to check codes. Nothing.
So we put the orig H23a ecu in to test it -- smoked right away. Opened it and same resistor was fried at Q27.
According to forums here, it controls the IAB's. Could the vacuum be plugged/jammed/etc from the jdm engine sitting causing ecu to surge? It got to be dark and we could not test further. I am going out of town and can't do anything till Mon.
I still have one more uk h22a ecu that threw a baro code 13 but am afraid to put it back in without knowing what is going on
Any help would be great.
Thanks

you probably have a 12V plug plugged in where it shouldn't be. I've seen many times wehre plugging the wrong plug into the iat sensor will immediately fry a transistor in the ecu when it is powered up.
