Default eCtune OBD1 CEL Code 11

My vehicle is running an OBD1 ecu running a tune with eCtune software. Recently the check engine light has been going on and off. It seems to be a code 11. I was told on the eCtune forums that the software has a neat little thing so that when the check engine light is on, one can put the car in the "on" position and then hold down the gas pedal and the check engine light will blink short and long flashes. From this I believe it's giving me a code 11. Also since no autozone shops seem to be able to link up with my system I am resorting to this.

From what I can find about OBD1 code 11 is that it is signaling the ECM. The check engine light is going on and off so it's not always on. My MPG seems down a bit too. I researched some but with little avail of what the code 11 really means on OBD1 systems.

Anyone have ideas for me?

Thank you.

Code 11 is an open code with the obd1 platform (Not there stock). Most OBD1 editors, NepTune, Hondata, eCtune use that open spot for an overheating code, which is set in the editor to come on above a certain temperature.

Some of the editors also give you the options to limit RPM/Load while the code is being thrown as well.

I got code 11 today, i have a chipped P28, hondata S300. I noticed that the car would stall any time it boosted over 1-2 lbs. The CEL stayed off after I shut the car off.
Q: When you say overheating, do you mean the engine overheating, or the ecu itself overheating?

it was 90° today but the coolant temp stayed just below 1/2 like it always does. When I touched the ECU though, it was pretty warm.

The ECT went above the temperature that is set to throw code 11 in your tune. NOT the ECU.

Don't go off of the gauge in the cluster, they are notorious for being very inaccurate.
