Engine light would come on while driving and kill the car.
Code read 11: Emsissions?
Light continues to come on and car continues to shut down
Where to start?
1990 Honda Accord LX 2.2 5-speed

I've seen some lists of codes for OBD1 on 4th generation Accords and don't recall a Code 11. You sure it's not 12, 41, or some other?
The long blinks are 10 and short blinks are 1. So for code 41, you would have 4 long blinks, and 1 short blink. For code 12, there would be 1 long blink, and 2 short blinks.
If you haven't done so, you should pull off your negative battery cable for 20 seconds or so to clear the codes in the computer. That way you'll know you're not looking at an old code that never got cleared. Once the trouble happens again, check for stored codes again.
How long does it take to be able to start the engine again after it stalls? Your stalling could be from a lot of things, but the CEL popping on suddenly and engine stalling (tachometer dropping to ZERO) points to a problem in the ignition system. On my similar car, the most part most
often the culprit is the Ignition Control Module (ICM) also know as the Ignitor.
