Default Crome Tuning

Is it viable to tune a b20 with a t3/t4 basic eBay turbo setup with just Crome and a moates burn2? I can’t find a good answer on this subject. I understand you create a basemap off your hardware and what boost you want is a possibility, but will this cause problems for me in the future? Also are there any other options that would work better? Thank you

I mean, anything is possible I'd you know what you're doing. I hadn't seen a question involving crime running in easily 13 years. So, I wish you all the best.

EVERY tuning solution is better than CRomE !!! You have an ECU... now get a Hondata S300.

What would you suggest besides buying new hardware? What software out there is better than crome that will work with an ostrich, hulog and lc1? If I'm going to spend money on hardware it'll be on something I can use in another platform as well.

If you are looking dor an economical solution compatible with your current hardware, I suggest Honda Tuning Suite (HTS). It is available for free on their website. Good luck!

I wouldn't use any of those components on a car that I care about TODAY... and I suspect that you don't either. I wouldn't use a Bosch K-Tronic fuel injection system from the early 80's just because it was cheap or free (unless I was restoring an old BMW or Porsche)... I would save up for a product that is more modern.

I wouldn't say I don't care about the car but I have a couple engines I'm not worried about blowing up for the sake of learning more. Spending $700 on Hondata just to be limited to obd1 tuning is out of the question though.

Then get a Haltech or AEM.

HTS or BMTune. No reason to use crome/hondata/neptune.
