I own a Integra type R dc2 now i am having a serious issue with this. If i stay in vtec for just about 6 seconds or more it throws a check light with the code in the title. Researched and it says that it is the Vtec pressure valve but at no point does the vtec shut off.. it simply throws the checklight and draws back the car kinda like its in limp mode.. i know this is not a mechanical issue because when i plug up my friends chipped computer with an ectune chip.. the car runs fine check light never comes on. Now i have discovered that my chipped computer is a Po6 and i was wondering if that could be a contributing factor or if it may even be a situation with the conversion harness. Was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced any problem like this because i kno the Po6 is actually a non-vtec ecu.

The ECU was probably converted to VTEC. As long as you're sure your oil pressure is remaining at a safe level you can disable the pressure switch input and you won't get the code anymore.

 

Thanx.. I actually got the conversion harness modified to bypass the the valve so the check light wouldn't come on.
