Chipping, socketing, jumping?

This is the link I have been reading about.
He talks about the original rom, and then adding the socket for a secondary rom.
If the red jumper thing can be used, couldn't we also rig up some sort of switch on the dash?
It would sorta be like the CR-Z eco/norm/sport button, but only a norm/sport setting...
If anyone understands what I am saying, ha ha.
So, is this possible? On a P28 ECU?

switching between the stock rom (jumper open) and the 'chipped' setting while running probably isn't the best idea. However, if like stated above and you install the Moates 2 timer and load the chip with two somewhat similar maps, you could feasibly switch back and forth with only a slight hiccup.
