I have a chipped p28 ecu that keeps throwing code 8 for tdc sensor i tried a diffrent ecu and it stops.

Anyone know why? maybe a bad solder in the ecu?

Open up the ECU and check to see if there are any burnt circuit traces. More than likely something is fried.

you won't be able to find any burned traces strictly for the TDC circuit, it's in the hybrid boards. if it is in fact the ECU then you probably popped a tiny capacitor that you can't identify visually, and it takes a lot of skill to replace that board.
But 99% of the time it's the distributor or wiring causing the problem, so troubleshoot elsewhere first. pull the dizzy plugs, check the pins, look for exposed wiring, loose connections, jumper harness if you have one.
