I had my B18B1 built by Golden Eagle MFG. I swapped in the engine and transmission yesterday and I'm getting close to the first key turn in my 1994 Integra. I have no intention whatsoever of 'tuning it myself,' when I start running boost. But for now and the break in period, I am running naturally aspirated.
I will get on Hondata and change the compression to match my engine.
10.2:1, I'll turn VTEC off because I don't have a VTEC head, and I will set a rev limiter at 3500. Please tell me any other tips or things I should look out for. I'm running stock injectors, OEM b18b1 cams, dual valve springs, Skunk2 intake manifold, a BWR throttle body, skunk 2 long tube header, and yonaka catback exhaust.(This may not matter, but I thought I should add)
I am all ears. I appreciate any advice. If I'm in over my head, just say that and I'll find a tuner. Hopefully I can just drop my ecu off and not tow the car 1.5 hours.
I’ll second that. Just get whoever you plan on tuning to make you a basemap for the car. If you’re staying N.A. for a while, with mostly stock setup I’m sure you’ll be fine to just run a stock basemap. Do you have your turbo kit already? Just slap it in there too and go get it tuned.
