anyone has a working b18c5 basemap for crome?
I think the one on xenocron is not good and its been there for years I tried to use it many times and it doesn't even look right on the fuel tables.

Just start out with the b16 base map in crome and tune it. I doubt the map that was put on xenoncron will update itself to run ur motor. I wouldnt risk it since u said it doesnt look right from the get go. Get a wideband hook up for safety since base maps are usually used to get to a tuner only.

I'm not that great at tuning ignition. I can tune the fuel maps and idle and most of the other parts just never touched ignition
usually I try to find closest basemap to the motor I'm tuning so the ignition tables are very close.
if anyone could help me out that would be really great.
I read about it a lot but still don't understand how to street tune ignition tables.
without detonation.

Which base map did u start out with? Hope its the b16 one in Crome program because its the more compatible one to start out with for type r engine. Before you start tuning you should have idle igniton timing synched together in Crome and the engine it self.
Ignition tuning should be adjusted on the dyno anyways. If u decided to adjust on street here are some tips:
-Correct spark plug heat range
-Make little changes at a time
-**IMPORTANT ** Learn how to read spark plugs & listne for detoantion
-Smooth ignition map so 2D lines dont cross

stock b18c5 map would do too. my second mtx-l sensor took a sht so I cant tune it at the moment and had to put the motor in another car which is obd1 and not obd2 that I have the p73 ecu for so I just want to get it running for break in on a decent stock p73 basemap with Neptune.
