B16A2 in trouble
Hopefully this is the right place to ask for help. If not my apologies.
I have a JDM B16A2 that I've been running for about 6 years, and about 2 weeks ago it started smoking and burning oil really bad. I had a check engine light that turned out to be distributor related, and I fixed that problem but the oil consumption and smoking is still there. My car lays down a blue smoke screen every time I accelerate or decelerate like a 1972 hooptie wagon. It is using over a half quart of oil daily.
I did a compression test and all 4 cylinders are actually reading right at 240 psi (all within 1 or 2 psi of each other). They build up quick too, so my theory about rings, valves or the head gasket is out the window.
Anyone have a suggestion, or a similar experience?
