Default Accel DFI?

Is there anyone on here that has run or is currently running an ACCEL DFI system?
I'm going to be running my crx this year finally and I'm just looking for any advice or heads ups. I've been playing with the system on my laptop to familiarize myself with it all and I have a friend that is running the same system in his single T-6 turbo mustang. He did all of his own tune, but he hasn't tuned any imports yet so I'm just looking for advice. Thanks.

There is no reason for all of the extra headaches that DFI will give you. Don't get me wrong on this. DFI has its place (more like had its place). With that said..... there are too many options available for honda ecus to waste your time wiring and setting up a DFI system.

There are only two reasons I would recommend any stand alone engine managment system for a honda that can easily be converted to OBD1.

1. You got it for free (even this may not be a good enough reason in some cases)
2. You NEED a feature like individual coils or eight injectors etc.

I have a friend that has been running DFI on his 93 D16Z6 for over 6 years.
He needs it for the extra reliablity to his high boost turbo application.

I do agree that chipped and modified Honda ECUs do very will with most applications, but once you venture into the extremes then the additional features of a stand-alone are awesome!

Well first off I'm a noob on here because I'm always working on the computer and just reading and not really participating on the board but I've been building Honda/Acura for over 10 years. So with that being said it's already wired and all done, I'm just looking for any ADVICE with this system.

I'm well aware also of easier set ups and have built and tuned many. I got this whole system with injectors and wiring harness for a Very good deal. My car isn't a street car by any means. If I'd gone with Hondata by the time I bought everything I needed I'd be about in the same boat financially so eh Why not have a full system with every option imaginable I guess right.

Yeah so if anyone has tuned with this system before I'd appreciate any and all advice that you're willing to offer. Thanks
