Default [s300] Normally open boost solenoid: Pressure vs Duty cycle

I have the Mac brand "normally open" (max boost at 0%) solenoid, and have been using the fixed duty cycle control.

I'm interested in using the gear based target boost, but I am unable. It seems the Pressure vs Duty cycle table is configured in such a way as to make it impossible to use this type of solenoid. The numbers have to scale up from left to right, and with this solenoid, the relationship would be inverse.

Is there some kind of settings that can be changed to modify the way this type of boost control works, so that I can use this solenoid? I'm starting to think I have to have the other kind of solenoid, but would prefer not to if I don't have to.

So what I need specifically is demonstrated here. I need to make my table in the red boarder reflect the blue line. The software is not letting me input a higher number to the right hand side of the table to represent max duty cycle at 0%.

Interesting, that would appear to be a bug

Try seeing if you can reverse the pressure numbers to go from higher to lower, left to right

You can also do gear based duty cycle and that will fix your issue

Have you read the help file?

http://www.hondata.com/help/smanager...=boost+control

Using the correct setting will allow it to work. YOu do not need to chnage the slope.

why NO? i have used this solenoid a lot of times on hondata, aem, and motec.
should be NC. wired up on the top port of your WG... boost starts usually to increase when DC is set to 20. then exponentially goes up.

looks like you want to select maximum boost at 100% duty/ normally closed that would be the same as your blue line

There are two types of solenoid - normally open and normally closed. A normally open solenoid (like the GM solenoid) will give maximum boost at 0% duty. Note that in this case SManager inverts the duty cycle so that in SManager 0% duty cycle is minimum boost, and 100% duty cycle is maximum boost. It is important to set a boost limit as a solenoid or wiring failure will result in maximum boost.
