Help me please!
Here’s my situation:
I have always been in love with the s2000s, but I’ve never been able to justify the prices that they bring. I have an opportunity to purchase a very clean, sub 80k mile 2007. Here’s the catch: the original owner ran it out of oil, trashed the crank and bearings. He then took it to a very professional shop that pulled everything apart. They have since gotten a very nice used crank, sent the block off to get totally cleaned up and sleeved. They have all new parts, pistons rods gaskets oil pump everything everything. It looks like it’s all there and they had planned to build a stout stock+ setup. I think I’m going to buy it. I do need to smog it as I’m in California, but I may be able to get around that.
If I was looking to spend 7500-10k on a build to be a fun daily driver, how should I spend it? Wether its tell me throw in some cams and basic parts and spend the rest of suspension, or a super nice motor build and a turbo, tell me how to spend my money!! I am a decent fabricator and have built some turbo kits in my day so that’s an option.
