Default Bent crankshaft

The runout on my crank is .001 is this usable for a 800hp build. Or should I source a new one. Thanks

I'm not sure what the tollerances are, but if your having doubts about something as important as the crank. I would just look for another.

I agree. $100-150 for another one is a lot cheaper than having to tear it down again

This is the run out specs off alldata for a 97 gsr I'm guessing because you didn't say what engine you have.

unfortunately my long time machinist had passed away so i am forced to use this new guy who i do not know/ never used before. the crank came out of my 600hp motor which cracked a sleeve. when i disassembled it all the bearings looked perfect, journals still perfect. i ordered a new piston and dropped it off with this guy along with my new block. all i wanted was a bore and hone. he told me to bring my crank so he could check it for free. so i did. he then tells me that for my build i should have a crank that is dead nuts 0 runout. he also said that my pistons are shot and my rods need to be re bushed because there is play in the pin bore. when i felt for play i could not feel any whatsoever. i really dont think i need new pistons or rods, they probably have like 30 passes on them lol. i just dont know whether to trust this guy

If you don't trust him get a second opinion.
