grind my crank?
So here's what my crank journals look like:
The specs are just dust from the rag...they are still fully shiney...just got some lines in there. Most of jounrals have some light lines....some I can feel with my nail. I can't figure out what I want to do......grind my crank down or just get a new one. I'd like to use OEM, but i know acl makes some oversized...... could these lines possible be polished out? I guess the only real way is to take it to the machine shop...but what would you guys do....use aftermarket oversized, or get a new crank (assuming the lines cant be polished out and still be in spec) Thanks.

Re: grind my crank? (true)
If the crank can't be polished out to fix it then I would get a new crank. It is almost cheaper to buy a used crank than it is to fix a messed up one. Besides it is not a good idea to use oversized bearings anyways. IMO
