Couldn't agree more, for me the flights, hotel, rental car, food and spending money cost me 2 grand to come each time and I won't miss it. There is no way to explain just how much the experience of this event stays with you and makes you want to come back.

I had a blast as always. Couldn't get the short track down and broke a trans but gave it hell in 10.0 anyway. Sad to see index go but it's understandable. I got lucky and didn't get anything stolen (which is really sad to be stealing out of racers cars).

But I call em like I see em.

why is it a must to smoke weed and shoot dice while watching drag racing? Why is it a must to do wheelies through the pits in golf carts with speakers blairing? Why have your stereo turned up in the pits louder than the 6 second cars blasting down the track?

Would you want your family around any of that? Would that not bother you if you were there to watch drag racing and enjoy the event the way it was meant to be enjoyed?

I can tell you it wasn't the "rednecks" doing any of that from what I saw.
this is so true. and its like this at all the events ive been to. especially ogs events. trying to turn it into a fast and furious party during the event. the golf carts and quads are a joke. im waiting for someone to get hurt from on of these morons. I don't know if I will be back next year to watch this event. not a fan of getting high in the stands.

It seems all the issues with this event are the same thing that's happening to society. People are becoming morally bankrupt and only care about themselves and everyone else is just "hating". From what I've heard from friends that went, I won't be going next year when my car is done. It's sad that people can't respect other peoples space and don't seem to understand that the world doesn't revolve around them...
