Default first time at the track EVER!!!

my first time at the track was tonight, i didnt do to bad

first time raced a WRX that rana 14.8
R/T 1.020
60' 2.426
330 6.472
1/8 9.745
MPH 75.59
1000 12.544
1/4 14.916
MPH 94.03

2nd run, foot slipped off the clutch too early and i spun off first
r/t .530
60' 2.410
330 6.504
1/8 9.797
mph 75.32
1000 12.603
1/4 14.981
mph 94.10

so at this point im thinking wow that was consistant

the 3rd run was shitty as hell cause it started to rain, but i got a decent launch, and when i hit 2nd it just went right to rev limiter accompanyed by mad wheel hop, the whole way thru

r/t 1.275
60' 2.796
30 6.999
1/8 10.380
mph 73.87
1000 13.242
1/4 15.658
mph 92.46

the rain stopped and i let my buddy turbo92si drive my car, not bad for driving a toyota tacoma for the past year, thanks to JG

he pulled:
r/t .527
60' 2.338
330 6.378
1/8 9.636
mph 74.80
1000 12.443
1/4 14.824
mph 95.65

not bad considering he hasnt drove anything but his toyota pickup for the past year, and he hit revlimiter in 2nd

so overall im pretty happy for my first time at the track, i hope to see at LEAST 14.5's by the end of the summer. i think its perfectally capable im going to put my KYBs on the back and crank em to 4, and next time let some air outta my tires cause this was at 33 PSI and the rain didnt help but im learning.

BTW: i'll have pics as soon as imagestation stops being gay

That's pretty good...Knock off a tenth or 2 of your 60' time and you'll be hitting mid 14's for sure..

Yeah, as soon as your 60 fts drop so will your times. Good start though!

33 PSI??? You need to drop that to about 20-22 PSI. You'll get alot more tire surface on the ground which results in more friction.

What tires are you using?

And how are you launching?

I think if you just lower the tire pressure, that would be good enough to knock a tenth off of your 60 foot time, man.

What's up guys, I didn't make it to the track this weekend since I didn't know anyone going up. I'll be dropping in my built motor in this weekend with any luck. Picking it up Saturday morning, doing the 5 speed conversion and full install. Odds are something will go wrong or I'll be missing something and it won't happen but we'll see. Me and my brother will be working on that all this weekend. I'll take it upto the track and see what it does N/A. With a 9:1 compression I'm not expecting anything impressive. Just like to see how many seconds I can knock off with 20psi of boost. Hope to see your car on the road again soon, what else are you waiting for? Should be well on it's way by now. Anyways pretty consistant times with the WRX, congradts. Later

The day of the meet it was pretty awfull weather. I didn't make it up there till a little later anyways since I was helping my brother get his car running. We both went up there around 3:00 and most people were gone already. It was raining and was just damp and cold out all day. I know a few people didn't bother coming up becuase of that. My intake manifold came today but no one was here so they left a ticket. UPS will be back Tuesday to drop it off again, too bad I need it sooner then that. I'm attempting to come up with a tempoary solution until then so I can put my motor in this weekend. So already things are going wrong :\ Ah well we'll see what happens. Let me know whenever you go up keystone next, maybe my car will be ready in a couple of weeks to go N/A.
