Default Wheel stud question

I know its 12x1.5 BUT what length should I get? I would like to run the 1.850 length so i can still run stock wheels. My slicks are on Lensos so I doubt I will need extended studs, will these work for me?

What is the rule on when you need studs? (speed/tire) and do I need aftermarket lugs too?

they are usually 3 inches long.

stock stud vs arp stud. lugs are for bogart wheels. short one is for with out a spacer, long one is for with a spacer.

honda sells open end lug nuts so that you can still run stock wheels when need be

if you run slicks you need the extended studs. this is loosely enforced. if you want to run any NHRA or NDRA events, your going to get called out on it most likely....if your just running at the track for fun, i got by with out it for a while a few years back

Alright lets see if i can say this right.

I'm pretty sure the stud can stick no farther into the lug than 1/2 the diameter of the stud. So if you take a depth gauge and measure from the lugnut to the stud sticking inside, it can be no more than 6mm. Cant think of another explanation.

I ran the short acorn style lugnuts for a while and had no problem and they stuck in probably 2mm. But i like the safety of having the extended studs now.

They have to be flush with the ends of the lug nuts and plus arp studs are alot stronger than stock.

now what we need are open ended lug nuts with the little retainer(washer) thing to keep the wheel covers on. That would be dope. I've thought about machining the the ends off of the stock ones that came with cars that had wheel covers but the cap just falls off over time and off comes your wheel covers
