Ron, what the hell do you know?!?!? hehe
As for if GM will be racing, yes, the three ProFWD cars will be back out next year and a couple others in other classes as well. The questions is where are they going to race? ( haha, I know, beating a dead horse )
ProFWD should have a couple good contenders next year.

Last time i priced the FWD Xtrac is was $19k, and another $2-3k for a bellhousing. A lot of money for sure, but not quite $30k. The difference between $21k and $16k for a trans is nothing when you're talking about total costs to build a race car.

I can't agree with that statement Tony, $5K is still $5K, whether you're spending $50 000 or $100 000. It's all about budget, and if you can't be realistic, it's easy to watch your overall costs spiral out of control.

I am unsure about Brian's car, but I am confident about the other ProFWD cars. As for me being in the seat, don't count on it, unless a miracle happens. I was thinking about building a SportFWD Honda to play with. I know I can race that......
ps, anyone selling a shell for a 92 - 06 civic 4 door? IM me

If so, many cars here can run Quick Street (9.60 index) and Mean Street (10.60 index)
Beat up on some V8's and have some fun.
But didn't I say that LAST YEAR???
I am taking a serious look at NHRA's Stock AF/S class for which the SRT-4 is legal for and the index, ha I run under it already (14.15). I can move up to SS when I put in Stage 3R and I believe my index will be in the 11's and that is easy to reach with S3.
I don't know anymore. Seems Sport Compact is bent on having just a place for the fastest of the fast and for those that actually drive their cars on a daily basis, "we have brackets for you, support the sport..." mentality -
Memo to the NDRA, make a class for the rest of us and put the Index at 11.50
Reachable with just about any compact...
Make a class like that and I will forget my aspirations of running Super Stock, requiring a six point that I really don't want to install.
There quite a few DD's that could make this class and I rather not hear the rants of the N/A crowd, many of you run in that zone as well with a decided weight advantage over anything built after 1996.
<---- Not knowing where to run in 2008
