Do yu have a pedal stop? Might have overstroked it and fucked up the plate.

we are using the stock throwout bering with teh tilton master cylinder. we had the hydrolic t/o bering in there, but it leaked and didnt work right.

i didnt do the orignal install so im not sure about the pedal stop... when i first got the engine running it wouldnt go into gear.. i tried not pushing it in all the way, but i guess the damage would have already been done.

it feels like its working and i hear the steels ratteling, but it just dosnt disenguage

Did you grind out the plastic of the stock throw out bearing?

Eventualy the plastic will be eaten up, but you need to grind it flush with the bearing. and dont forget about the pedel stop. The way to do it is have the pedel stop 1/4" before it fully engages.

i talked to the guy that orignally installed the clutch..

the plastic was grinded off the t/o bering... it was all chewed up from the previous install anyway.. (the clutch worked great on the other car.. which had the same exact setup and it worked great... wtf? )

as far as the pedal travel... w/the stock master cylinder it wouldnt disenguage at all.. couldnt hear the clutch chatter at all w/the pedal in. we put in the tilton M/C and it seemed to work better, but still wont go into gear.

we will probably rip the tranny off next week and see what we can see... still odd to me.. the exact same setup worked fine in the old hatch....

we took it out.. looks like the 2nd disk wasnt lined up properly and the splines were buggerd up. when they tightened down the tranny it looks like it was pushing the 2nd disk into the flywheel. pulled it out and stuck an act xtr6 in there.. this motor isnt going to be making the power the old one was.
