S300 Launch control
hey guys, im about to go the drags with slicks for the first time. ive been searching and saw the recent thread with launch control settings for turbo cars. My setup right now is a NA. simple 2L B with 23inch slicks.
a few question about the settings.
do u guys usually leave the maximum speed at 6mph?
i have the launch control always on. do u check the invert input box?
I saw the fuel enrichment and timing tips in the other thread for boosted cars. learned alot. do i need to do anything here for NA?
and lastly.. what about the burnout rev limit?
after u guys go through the waterbox and begin the burnout, do u jus WOT and let it hit rev limiter consistently with the Ebrake up or do u pump the gas pedal?

i wouldnt mess with the fuel enrichment and all that. set the limiter at like 7500 rpms and wide open throttle it with some pre load. not much to it for NA at less than 250whp.
Do what works for you. I power through bouncing off of limiter. A lot of people pedal it because they don't like bouncing on limiter. But I also do 3rd gear burnouts so it doesn't take a ton of time to heat the tires. Plus I'm turbo.
ok yea i wasnt comfortable with bouncing off the limiter. i guess ill try doing what i did with DRs before. roll through the water, put it in 2nd, get the rpm to about 6k with the ebrake up, drop the clutch and WOT. when it hits 9k, drop the gas pedal till it hit 6k and rev it back up. pump like that a few times, and drop the ebrake and WOT through. how does that sound?

i remember my 1st drag burnout in my eg5 (d16z6). i done a mad burnout (dont ask why). then when i went to launch off the line i broke my gearbox
good came from it though because i ripped out the motor and built a forged b18c4 bottom end with a c6 itr head (ported and polished) running a gt30r

Hey, I am also going to the track soon and will be using the launch control on k-pro for the first time...
Did you ever get an answer on the mph setting?
I am alittle confused at what it should be set at also...
The car is a k20 swap del sol k-pro and bolt ons.
