Default rywire help

i have searched, and found alot of posts about this but not my question

obd0 to obd1 harness with the jumper harness that they send out.

the power distribution plug that used to sit near the fuse box on the fire wall doesnt connect to the rywire distro plug that came with the harness. the rywire plug has metal jumpers it it since both plugs are female and they are to big to go into and connect to the obd0 plug.

does anyone have a solution for this or can lead me in the right direction

thanx for the help, and or suggestions in advance

Did you try calling Rywire? They are very helpful over there.

What are you trying to do exactly?

You have a MPFI Pre-OBD engine harness converted to OBD1 and your chassis is also using a Pre-OBD to OBD1 ecu conversion harness as well? Post some pictures of the connectors in question. And I would probably move this to tech.

its was in tech with no hits at all

i will post the pics up later

its a 89si harness the engine bay harness has been replaced with the rywire harness, and they send out a connector harness to be wired in also for power and ground.

the rywire harness has the plug for the obd1 power distro cap and it has these jumpers inside it to connect both harnesses the metal jumpers are to big for the obd0 pins

So, these 2 plugs are the ones in question? You can de-pin the obd0 plug and put the pins into an obd1 plug. Looks like a trip to the junkyard is in your future

the factory plug isnt used at all rywire said the one on there harness is setup when you get it and to leave it alone.

this is a very common issue he said, and he stated that they should label the plug with something to the affect of leave this alone lol

Ever order I or a friend have ordered is always wrong or backwards from what we wanted, We even specified exactly what we needed, so far we are up to about 10 wrong orders. I won't buy directly from them again.

I've been dealing with Ryan and Peter for over 10 years now, I've never ever had a problem with them, there products are the best, there customer service is next to none. You might not get someone on the phone the first time but try calling back or emailing them and you'll get a response. As of late they've been super busy with a lot of interesting projects.
