Im installing a pre bent cage and wanted to know if its allowed to put a bend in the door bar for more elbow clearance. I only need an inch maybe 2 at the very most. Ive seen pics with it done but just wanted to make sure its the right thing to do be for i go ahead and do it.
Thanks guys

O ok yea theres no real classes around my area. If anything its just a shoot out kind of thing with no real rules or bracket racing with all the muscle cars lol.

...but, to answer your question, a lil bend in the door bar is fine.
..Usually pre-bent and cages that arent built very tight (meaning the main hoop) will allow a staight door bar with the door panels on. If my door bar was straight it would crush my door panel.
that's what i was thinking. i did not want the bar bending towards my arm so i just take a slice out of the door panel. whatever makes you feel more comfortable i thought would be best.

We had cut cut into our door panel. I will get a pic later on today. After we cut the door panel up we sent it out to have new fabric put on.

Maybe that will help some. Found that when I was researching on the same topic.
