Default Question on the second power adder... (all classes)

I am curious as to why people dont use a second power adder like nitrous. I realize that you must add weight, but I would think that a shot of nitrous would be more then beneficial in the SFWD and HOTROD class. Any input is appreciated.

Not everybody can afford to install a new motor after every run

haha... although true, you can tune nitrous well enough to keep it safe. I would think on a sleeved motor and an awesome tune, you could dominate your class with this second power adder option.

I am only asking this because I am in the middle of a SFWD build myself. Just looking for input on different options...

Alot of people just don't want to deal with one more variable. Plus on a SFWD car, most are already making more power then they can put to the ground on turbo alone. No sense in my opinion to add more power to the equation. Making usable power is a better choice

I have seen a couple sfwd cars running n20. They are usually not the front runners.

traction and keeping transmisions together is common prob. with front runners in sfwd, no2 isnt really nessicary with output of todays turbos , thats without help of traction bars, bigger slicks or traction control

I'm surprised no one has put together a multi stage nitrous car (nitrous as only power adder) honestly. I know Zex had the CRX back in the day but it's just weird that something so prevalent in the domestic scene (at least around here) is pretty much ignored by the import scene.

Does bring up a valid point. When was the last time a SFWD ran strictly on n2o? Could they be a top competitor in this class?
