I was at the track 2 weekends ago. I get up to the line after my first run and reved up to about 4000 rpm. I start to take off and it feels like my wheels are spinning and I hit the rev limiter real quick. I shifted to 2nd and it did the same thing. I shifted to 3rd and backed off and just rolled down the track. It finally grabbed in 3rd gear but then was running fine right after. I've also been driving the car for the past 2 weeks without any incidents.

What happened? Did I just have a horrible take off or do I need to get a new clutch and flywheel? I still have the stock clutch and flywheel on a 2000 Si. Any ideas what happened? Thanks.

 

sounds like you have a clutch issue.

 

whats the set up , is the car stock too??
