I had one in the Si trans of my old EG hatch. You might as well just throw your trans in the garbage right now, it'll save you some trouble.

Hey I'd love to get the green springs. I just borrowed a old PG from a freind
that still has the red springs in it. I'm gonna go a step farter and put some Kevlar
made for a band in a auto trans behind the side gears. With the preessure from
the PG and the friction material I think it should really do the job.

you know, i'll bet you $1000 that the PG didn't break or support in the break at all. Every failure i have EVER seen has been becasue the stock spider gears broke...NOT the PG. Which is it's ONLY downfall....

Keep the feedback coming, Love to hear the good and bad.
not to jack your thread but for the ones who have negative feedback can you provide proof or reasoning why you feel the pg contributed to the failure of your tranny?
If the lsd broke in pieces and destroyed your tranny thats one thing but broken spider gears is another.

I have used them in many cars before...They all work great. John actually came out with a newer design recently (maybe 1 year ago at the most) It utilizes a bigger spring.

You can actually change the stiffness of the small spring if you have that design or even the larger spring if you have the newer deisgn. Call Janice at Phantom Grip, she can answer all your questions. Yes, I have one in my car now.

The trick here is to temper the spider gears, the V8 guys used to do it back in
the day.

what do you mean by temper? Is that like cryo? I guess that would help out a ton but is it cost effective because most people are running the PG because of lsd costs.
