How many miles are on the motor? and how hard do you push the motor.
Do a search you will see that most widely used is Honda.

We have run a stock oil pump on kenny's car for 3 or 4 years now w/o any problems. If it broke on you, then find the problem...

Full Blown Racing in Indiana. Shop's ran by Rob Cardona who used to work for C&R Racing. Rob has a CNC machine to do the work.

hmmmmm no reply to the "what dampener" question. That must have been the problem. LOL The only time we have had problems with the oil pump is when our dampener crapped out, the line bore was done w/o re-pinning the oil pump housing and when a customer brought a car to us with a fully built engine and one of those dam solid alum. pulleys for a dampener and it **** itself on our dyno.

I have been running stock oil pumps/gears for over 3 season of racing now, along with a aluminum UR pulley. No problems here. Ever.

Re: (NFJohn)
That is the problem i know i need a balancer... im running that junk *** pulley Electromotive sells... BUT, you better believe ill be switching to a stock pulley with a weld on trigger wheel. Ive come to the conclusion that i can use a Civic R single belt pulley and it will fit my mag sensor bracket perfectly.
No reason for not running Pro-Drive in particular i just wanted to see what my options are. i may not even step up to a aftermarket gear, i know that the problem is the balancer, but why not put a gear in it too??
I just figured id run a pro drive gear or somthing stronger for peice of mind.
thanks for all the repsonses fellas....

BTW: my Oil pump only had about 15,000 miles on it. Along with the rest of the fresh motor ... luckily i got it cleaned out with new bearings installed.

I believe to compete in any pro classes though you have to have a SFI approved dampner, just FYI

Why make the same mistake AGAIN? That pulley doesnt have a harmonic balancer on it either
