Default NPB-First passes with new setup, problems

Went to the track and made a few passes with the new setup. Had a good time but ran into a few problems. Not sure, I think they are wiring related...
Quick summary of the setup
D16Z6
Hondata S200
SC61@34psi (C17)
24.5x8.5x13 MH
Innovative MSBC-1
MSD digi6

Here's the story.... in the staging lanes, set and tested the MSD 2step @7k, everything worked fine. 2 step switch is wired into my E-brake, do my burnout with the E-brake on, everything normal. Stage the car, E-brake up all of the sudden the 2step is at 4.5k and it's not the MSD spark cut, it sounded like the Hondata 2step. Launched way to low, bogged horribly off the line. Tried to make the best of it anyway. Just as I click into 4th gear engine light comes on and car shuts down. Still rolling I turn the car off and back on, light is gone and the car starts back up. Weird......

R/T...... 1.20
60'....... 2.382
330..... 6.242
1/8...... 9.130
mph..... 91.42
1000.... 11.421
1/4...... 13.390
mph..... 108.99

So we mess with the 2 step, tried reseting the Hondata, seemed like nothing was working right so I disconnect the clutch switch for the Hondata and the 2step was working fine again. Well my dumbass forgot that was the switch that also changes boost/gear levels for the MSBC-1. I realize this after I make the pass and look down at the controller, 16psi still stuck in 1st gear. Other than that it was a clean pass and the car didn't kick the CEL and shutdown like it did on the previous run.

R/T...... .235
60'....... 1.814
330..... 5.342
1/8...... 8.144
mph..... 90.25
1000.... 10.471
1/4...... 12.440
mph..... 114.94

Last pass of the night, didn't want to have 2step problems so I left the clutch switch disconnected. Changed the MSBC-1 to 34psi. Awesome launch, nailed the gears, horrible tire spin in 2nd. Running 3rd gear out 8.5k right around the 1/8th and the engine light comes on and car shuts down again. Samed deal, cycle the ignition switch and it starts right up.

R/T...... .379
60'....... 1.799
330..... 5.232
1/8...... 7.941
mph..... 96.76
1000.... 10.432
1/4...... 12.914
mph..... 86.23

Anyone ever experience this problem before with the CEL coming on and car shutting down? I'm guessing it's wiring related, I dunno. We tried duplicating it on the highway but didn't have any problems. Survived a day of dyno tuning 3 weeks ago without any problems. Haven't changed any of the wiring between now and then. Any suggestion, comments, or ideas are appreciated.
Craig

BTW, thanks chiovnidca and g2turbo for helping get the car ready and down the track.

Damn, get that **** straightened out and get back to the track. Not bad for your first passes with the new setup, but I'm sure theres a LOT left in it. Are you running slicks?

Get a new fuse box first.

Do you think that radio/cig lighter fuse problem has something to do with it? I know that needs to be adressed but can't see why that would cause the car to shut down. Doesn't do it on the street, 2nd pass at low boost was fine....

Thats what I was thinking. Hopefully it's something simple like that. Check in the Rom editor under Rev Limit and see if it's checked and what it's set at next time you get a chance.

I thought he did pretty good too, the turbo sounded nice.

How long would it shut off for?

Maybe Chiovnidca can help us out again and check that Rom for a boost cut. The car wasnt doing this at all on the dyno. Is it possible that the car is making a little more boost on the street??

Ive noticed this too Craig...
On the dymo w/my SRT4, 22psi solid all day long. On the street, we were seeing 24-25psi, then it would settle.
With the manifold you have, it could add to this effect even more(have had some creep issues). Just up your boost cut level I did on the S2000, its WAY more fun(but safe, AFR-wise anyway).

Send me the ROM and I can check...

Good to see one of us made the track.

could very well be boost cut next time when it does it leave the key in and the car off , look at the ignition and see if its poping a code , or the hondata is flashing . could give you a clue as to whats going on.

did you ever figure out what was up with the CEL coming on?

When I would hit hondata's boost cut it would only bog the car down and cel would flicker on

good job craig!! if your running 34 PSI.. are you running a 3 bar map sensor or a 5 bar. if your only using a 3 bar that could be your problem...
