Default Hondata Tuning help needed

OK,at 3000 rpm car cuts out and throws engine light. Restart car. Then it goes up ok in 1st and 2nd when i accelerate fast and as soon as i let off it starts acting up and wont go past 4k. Then while driving it at a 4k limit it starts to act up(misfire and such) and drops down to a 3k max. Anyone have a clue whats going on?

Can you explain why you think its the dist.? I just took it for a ride and it misfires and backfires at all rpms(the highest it will go is 4k) and hesitates bad. It also dies at a stop? HELP anyone im going nuts. Heres a lil insight on the set-up, b16a with GSR head,T3/To4E 57 trim turbo set-up, msd ignition, 760 injectors,255 fuel pmp, hondata, profec b, and its set at 5lb spring press.

if its not revving past 4k check the connection of the soldering on the ecu and the alignment of the chip when you inserted it into the socket, if the socket is not properly soldered in or if the chip is not hooked up properly you wont be able to take it past 4k
