Liquid to Air intercooler??
Hey Guys
I need some help, Im thinking of using a LtoA IC on my new drag car that im currently in the process of building. Im new to them as ive only used FMIC's before. I would like to see how people have set these up, and how people have routed everything. I do not plan on using a heat exchanger as this will be a track only car.
I would also like to know what you use for lines, tank, and a pump??
Thanx alot

I know you can run it in Hot-Rod, and Quick16 is essentially as long as its safe and meets general requirements, theres no 'class' requirements since its for cars that dont' fit into any other class, like my car. Its certainly not street legal, but its nowhere near quick enough to be competitive in HotRod and too light at < 1900lb with driver. I'm only looking for low 10s with 450ish whp, but the car isn't legal for SFWD since its not street legal.

Where does one get a fancy plastic resivoir such as the one that comes with the vortech kit??
And do you actually fill the resevoir with methal alcohol and then just dump raw ice in, or do you contain the ice to itself, say in a bag, or use an ice pack or something, wont the ice clog up the pump??

I think i got my tank from plastic-mart.com. However i really want to make a fabricated aluminum one with -10 fittings and line. With a internal seperator for the coolant and ice. As well a little something else i'm working on.
My current set-up has coiled line in the tank the the inlet draws in between the line. And also a screen over the inlet. So it's nearly impossible for the line to become clogged. My pump flows really well as i have alot of flow in the tank itself. Constantly cycling around.

Methal will absorb more heat will it not?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Windsheild washer fluid and ice has worked well and is fairly cheap.
