Default Limit Straps.

Finished working on the limit straps for the MS1Motorsports CRX. They came out nice and really helped on traction and stability. They helped 60's by almost a tenth. went from consistent 1.65's to 1.55's. Up top stabilty increased due to not unloading when the car hit bumps in the track. I have a writeup with pics and description in the tech section of our forum. Also check out the for sale section. I have tons of used and new stuff that drag racers can benefit from. The straps are for sale. I have 14" and 16" in stock. Price is $35 shipped for the pair. You can view them in our forum. Heres the link to the pics http://s8.invisionfree.com/MS1...x.php?. It's free to register. If you have any questions let me know. Please remember that I do not have access to PM. If you have any questions you can email me at Info@ms1motorsports.com or ask on the forum, I check it hourly. Thanks.

You should look into using a shorter strap and preload it a bit. We have been using limit straps for about 5 years now and have noted a better 60ft with a bit of preload. the other thing you need to look out for is the limit strap will start to stretch a bit and you will have to go a bit shorter later....just some info I thought you could use!

Kinda OT

I must admit that the no PM thing on HT is very inconvenient. Just imagine that new members are treated unequally just because of a low post count. Comon HT, grow up ...get with the program and give access. It is a HUUUUGGEEE inconvenience with no PM. Many people emails are even hidden...so what do we do then.

I have taken all of this into consideration. To preload I have a few guys stand on the chassis to compress the suspension. I have a cut in the flange so that I can move the mounting point up and down on the bolt to allow some tension adjustment. Yes the nylon does stretch about a 1/4" so just periodically check and readjust as neccessary. You are correct with everything you said though.

The lower portion of the strap hooks to the 17mm bolt that holds the damper fork to the LCA. BTW this info is posted in the ms1motorsports forum.

No problem, I'm always willing to help a fellow racer out. I'll be running the MS1 CRX in the quick class. See you guys there and good luck.

The straps are $55 per pair. I stock 14" and 16" straps. Please take a look at our site for more information at http://www.ms1motorsports.com. The straps are listed in our forum along with other products for sale. Thanks.

for us weekend warriors, is there any way to easily attach the strap when i get to the track and then take em off at the end of the night. This is to us people without trailors, I tend to drive my car to the track, run it and then drive home. but that lower tierod in mount isn't always the most fun.

Just wonderin for us, lesser people. How does the strap attach? is there a way to remove the strap and keep the flanges attached?

It takes some time to get the straps properly adjusted so I don't know about removing them at night at a track. You might be able to with some practice . You can drive with these on but you must be careful while going over bumps. I don't recomend driving on the street though. The straps cannot be taken off while the flanges are bolted to the points. If you need a description of how the straps attach to the chassis please visit the forum posted in the first post. It is located in the tech section and explains all that you would need to know. Thanks.

hey there, it's been a while since you said you're going to make some suspension strap for us. We've been waiting for so long and still nothing comes up. Let us know. Here's the topic about that. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=941129
