How does the top part of the strap bolt on? Or is it welded on!

It attaches to the upper control arm bolt that holds it to the chassis.

Damn, thats going to hard to weld the clevis to the shock fork. Isn't it a cast steel. You'll most likely have to preheat the fork to cherry red so you'll get penetration between the 2 pieces.

u weld a insert into a cromoly tube then screw the clevisin the tube whalla its adjustable then u slot the tube on the bottom side then slide the tube around the front side of the fork then weld it up

The straps only need to be a 3 ply thickness for the amount of load that gets put on them. 5 ply is overkill and may cause clearance problems due to thickness. I sell the 3 ply straps for $35 shipped. They can be made adjustable by cutting a slot in the flange so you can move the strap up and down. There is no welding required with our design.

if u want the cheap 3 ply thats a chance u have to take i can get them in 3 play and ther half the cost of the 5 ply lik 13 bucks and we use the fully adjustable clevis so u will have lots of movemnt either way and not just a 1/8 of a inch from a unsafe sloted end on the strap

Bucks setup is much better designed than the other guy trying to peddle his junk on here. It sounds like alot of thought went into the design on Buck's. The others posted are not adjustable, realistically, what's 1/4" of adjustment on a slot that'll move around gonna do?

For those who don't want to weld there is my option to just bolt on to stock components. If you were to test the preload on the suspension when it lifts you would find that 3 ply is more than strong enough and that slotting the flanges will never slip if properly installed. Please don't try to degrade others ideas when the product has been tested and proven. The flanges have never slipped and the straps have never broken. Preload on my straps have been tight since the day I installed them. Please post pics of the weld in clevis limit straps installed on a car. It is a great idea which I have thought of as well. However, people don't want to have to pay extra to weld on the clevis when they can just get a strp that will slide up and down for adjustment.

Don't ever talk trash on someone else's product, when you have never even tried it. And most likely you haven't heard anything about his product from a 3rd party person either. I talk to this guy all the time, about questions I have.. he and his crew are very knowledgable. I will be purchasing his limit straps, from him when my time has come to purchase them. And I really don't want to have to buy a product where I have to weld something on, when I do not own a welder, nor do I want some other person welding things to my car. Think about it, you pay for what you get.

Within the next couple of years, I will be testing his limit straps... and when I do I will be posting the results, either ya or nay...

I think this is similar to what Buck is doing. The others listed are no more than a limiting strap from an off road truck. There is no "kit" for hondas, anyone can get those straps from any truck place. The above setup has been proven, with consistent low 1.3 60's.

KlawzOfDeath - when you test his a couple of years, bring this back up and let us know how they work...

This is exactly the kit I'm looking to buy from Tony1 but he is too busy right now. I can understand.

That's a nice setup, just from viewing the picture though, I could see a problem in too much load on the threads of the adjustable bolt, which could possibly cause it to strip, and slip... and possibly cause other damage to the surrounding area... I doubt that would be a main concern in lower trq/hp cars... but for the top-doller 9 sec. car's I could see that problem. Just like I could see there being to much load on MS1's design... and snapping that eyelet as well. But that is a alot cheaper to replace IMO, then having to replace an eyelet bolt(which I am speaking under, the "hope" it is a high grade material which in turn cost's more) .

I actually may see sooner then 2 year's on MS1's design, mainly because I want to see how much of a 60'ft improvment it would make now, on my non-built/non-race motor... Mainly because within the next couple of years when I do begin my build, everything will be put on at once... instead of testing out different thing's... right off hand.... So maybe testing them sooner then hoped.

The load is nowhere near enough to break one of those straps or strip the threads on the clevis, period.

Hey Tony, we all know your stuff only works in your fantasy race car league! It's not like its proven on 8 sec hot rod cars or anything.

are u asking me or Tony? I have a street car so I want rebound. So no, I do not run straps. If/When I do, I will run Tony's.. I have nothing against the other set ups though. The straps in the picture were run on deepstage's 8sec hot rod car all season long.
