Default launching

About what do you guys launch at in your turbo hatches on street tires? I have a 95cx with a built turbo GSR and I have a ATC 6 puck sprung clutch and I have launched at 3k but it seems that I should be able to launch at like 4k or more but im scared that it will wheel hop like crazy and I would have to explain to the parents why my axle was broken or whatnot.

Im putting down 415whp and 292ft/lbs and my 60 fts realy suck. im in like the 2.2-2.3's on street tires. But my suspention setup is terible, I have #1 coilovers on stock struts. The 60fts would be better if I didnt have to shift out early at like 6k to go into 2nd b/s it just breaks loose after then in 1st -2nd sometimes in 3rd. The car spools at about 3800-4k depending on the temp. and thats why I was thinking I could launch at like 4k b/c i dont realy make boost just sitting there.

I have a precision sc61, thats why im a little slower on the spooling part but the huge power spike whats hurting me some as well. I also have 9:1 compression, now I wish I had 10:1. for the faster spool and pretty much pulls its self out of its way with the higher compression and the turbo makes all the mid/top end power. I am wanting to get my 60fts to the 2.0's if it is at all possible.

lucky mother. i with my parents built me a 400hp hatchback.. do they know what they have made? i'd think they would be more worried about you driving a 400hp car than breaking an axle.. thats nuts. maybe you should try some z10 or full-race traction bars.. i've got the z10's but i'm all motor with lsd. also have you looked into some aftermarket motor mounts? energy suspension makes the "a/c" bracket and tranny stabilizer mount inserts, aswell as the rear insert. keeps the motor solid. should help reduce the "wheel hop"

I paid for it all myself. But what do they expect me to do with a car w/ 400hp?? not use it??? yea right. I have solid motor mounts, Quiafe LSD. I am not supposed to race at all. Thats the beef with the axle. I spoke to some people and they said that traction bars arnt going to help me any if I dont have a suspention worth a crap. I have looked into Tein and omnipower but I wont have that amount of money for a while. I was looking inot skunk2 drag springs and maybe some tociko illumina shocks b/c they are adjustable. Maybe run like 5 in the rear and 2 in the front. Will launching at 4k orso be possible with out just spinning to redline? Its raining so I have no way to go play for now. I am also using Falken Azenis sports rubber. I used to have 555R's but they dont last long enough for a daily driver and they didnt realy hook that well either.
