Default Launch Control Device

Came across this on Magnus's site and was wondering if anyone runs them, and what are everyones thoughts on them?

http://magnusmotorsports.com/product...control-device

Looks like it could help make launches more consistent by aiding in preloading the clutch to the exact point you want.

P.s. I did a search but came up with very little on this product.

I've seen them listed before. Always wondered about them. Interesting idea.

I think it would help, and would be easier on the clutch also. No one has any input on these?
Lets get a discusion started, pros, cons, diy solutions that you personally use, etc.

Pros:

consistent preloading on launch
easier on clutch
with proper setup preloading saves the driveline

Cons:

could be tricky to get setup
pricey for what it actually is

DIY ideas:

Looks like a line lock with some sort of adjustable bleed off valve.

You could make that yourself for less than $100.

Plus, tilton has a flow restrictor that is only $75 (if I remember right) and that works pretty well.

cons, if you use your clutch to shift you will have slow shifts due to the slow engagement

I made one from basically the same exact valve and line lock valve.. I had my AEM only slow the clutch release for the launch and then it works like a normal clutch after the launch.. It worked pretty well for the first few times I used it then I pulled the trans and bought a glide..
