''Dog box users'' how many are using a inline flow control valve?
I will be running my dog box this season and can not really find much info on the inline flow control valves? How many are you guys are using them, how do you like them, pro's and con's etc.... Will it slip the clutch to much were the clutch gets to hot? Do not know much about em so your imput would be greatly appreciated, and would you suggest I run one, and if so does anyone have any pics of them installed?
thanks
thanks
Makes the clutch shock a lil softer. With a cerametalic clutch you cant slip it too much cuz it will get the clutch hot. I think its more for carbon clutch set ups where getting the clutch hot isnt a a prob. I have one on my car
two seasons on my tilton cerametallic along with a libertys and the flow control valve. i use the largest sized oriface. we tried the middle sized one and when letting out the clutch, the car would tap the rev limiter before the clutch would grab, so i put the large one back in. two seasons on the same dss 5.9 and mid shaft as well.
If any of you guys can maybe snap a photo as well of how you plummed them in would be awesome. And is there other brands besides tilton, or do I just need to pick a tilton up?
we took it off of bug cause it was causing to much slip even with the biggest size.
we got cracks in 2 diff flywheels from that thing. but thats on a rwd car so fwd is diff.
it just goes inline with the clucth line. it doesn't get any easier

I use the Tilton flow control valve with the largest orifice here.. No problems, but I also never tried it without it either.
I've used it with or without. Didn't notice much of a difference at all. But the only time the clutch was used on my car is the launch.

I use one. I dont have a dog box, but stock gears. It makes engagment much softer and saves drive train parts. I cut a 1.6 60' using the smallest orifice in the tilton flow control valve.
We use one on our car. Liberty box and the Clutch Masters flow control valve with largest orifice. Second season on the same clutch. Cutting 1.5 60ft's.
